This page explains which cookies and local storage we use, what we need them for, and how you can change your choice at any time.
In short
We use no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking and no profiling. By default we store only settings you made yourself: your decision about the privacy settings and — if you change it — your chosen appearance (light or dark). Everything else is optional and is loaded only after your consent.
What are cookies and local storage?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. Comparable techniques are localStorage and sessionStorage — they also store data directly in the browser. Legally both are treated the same: under § 25 TDDDG, access is only permitted if it is strictly necessary for the service or if you have given consent.
Necessary
This storage is required to operate the website and cannot be disabled. Legal basis: § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| ipstrategy.consent | localStorage | Stores your choice in the privacy settings so the notice does not appear on every visit. | 12 months |
| ipstrategy.theme | localStorage | Stores the appearance you selected (light or dark). Only created if you actively deviate from your system setting. | until you clear it |
Statistics (optional)
Loaded only if you explicitly consent. Legal basis: § 25 (1) TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.
| Service | Type | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vercel Web Analytics | cookieless | Anonymous, aggregated traffic measurement (page views, referrer, device class) to improve the website. No profiling, no cross-device recognition. | nothing stored in the browser |
Change or withdraw your choice
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. Use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. In addition, you can delete this website's stored data completely in your browser settings at any time; in that case you will be asked again on your next visit.
Further information about the processing of your data is available in our Privacy Policy.
