Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 August 2026
This is a courtesy translation. The German version is the legally binding one.
We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). This policy informs you pursuant to Art. 13 GDPR about the nature, scope and purpose of processing on this website.
1. Controller
The controller for data processing on this website is:
- Company
- IP Strategy UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
- Address
- Niederrheinstraße 46f, 41472 Neuss, Germany
- Represented by
- Ilya Piontek
- info@ipstrategy-group.de
The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.
We are not legally required to appoint a data protection officer. For any privacy matter you can reach us at legal@ipstrategy-group.de.
2. Processing principles
This website is deliberately lean. There is no contact form, no user account, no newsletter, no advertising networks, no social media tracking and no embedded third-party content. We process only the data technically required to deliver the page — plus, optionally, anonymous traffic measurement that is loaded exclusively after your consent.
3. Hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA (the “host”). When you access the website, the host processes the technically necessary connection data on our behalf (see “Server log files”).
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure, stable and performant provision of our online offering. Where consent has been requested, processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG; consent can be withdrawn at any time.
A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the host (Data Processing Addendum). Processing in the USA cannot be ruled out; it is based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR) and/or certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Further information: the host's privacy policy.
4. Server log files
Each time the site is accessed, information automatically sent by your browser is transmitted. This includes in particular:
- the URL requested and the volume of data transferred
- date and time of the request
- HTTP status code
- referrer URL, if transmitted
- browser type, browser version and operating system used
- IP address in truncated or shortened stored form
This data is not merged with other data sources. Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for the purposes of technical operation, error analysis and defence against attacks. Log data is deleted automatically after a short period, at the latest after 30 days, unless it is required to investigate a specific security incident.
5. Cookies and local storage
This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. We only store your privacy settings decision in your browser's local storage so that we do not have to ask you again on every visit. This storage is strictly necessary pursuant to § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG and therefore requires no consent; the subsequent processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
All non-necessary services are loaded only after your explicit consent pursuant to § 25 (1) TDDDG and Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future — via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page. A detailed overview is available in our Cookie Policy.
6. Traffic measurement (with consent only)
If you have given consent, we use Vercel Web Analytics, a service provided by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. The service works without cookies and collects aggregated usage data such as pages viewed, referrer, approximate region of origin and device and browser category. No user profiles are created, no cross-device recognition takes place, and no data is passed to third parties for advertising purposes.
The legal basis is exclusively your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. Without consent, the script is not loaded. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings.
7. Contact by email
If you contact us by email at info@ipstrategy-group.de, we process the information you provide (email address, name, content of the message) in order to handle your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to the conclusion or performance of a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. We delete the data as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose of processing; statutory retention obligations — in particular commercial and tax law periods of up to ten years — remain unaffected.
Please note that unencrypted email communication can have security gaps. For confidential information we recommend encrypted transmission or postal mail.
8. External links
On the “Projects” page we link to third-party websites. When you click such a link you leave our website; from that point on the privacy policy of the respective provider applies. We have no influence over whether and to what extent personal data is processed there. No third-party content is embedded on our website, so no connection to those providers is established without your click.
9. Encryption
For security reasons this website uses TLS encryption throughout. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the string “https://” in your browser's address bar. When encryption is active, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
10. Your rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- access to the data processed (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate or completion of incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (Art. 20 GDPR)
- objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)
- withdrawal of consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)
An informal message to legal@ipstrategy-group.de is sufficient to exercise these rights.
Irrespective of this, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the member state of your residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. A list of the German supervisory authorities is available from the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
11. Changes to this privacy policy
We adapt this privacy policy whenever changes to our website or the legal situation make it necessary. The version available on this page applies at all times.
